Differences between football and basketball in Sherubtse College

Sherubtse College give its students the liberty to enjoy all kinds of games alike all the colleges in the country. But the intensity of interest in various games varies .The mostly played games in the college where the considerable numbers of individuals gets involved is football which is gaining much momentum in national level these days. Besides this, students too play basketball in their leisure hours, which is but comparatively getting lesser enthusiasts than football. In the light of above points, I will lay down few differences regarding the football and basketball games in the college in following lines.

Most number of students choose football because football seems easier to play when compared to basketball. Jigme Tshering of Political Science said that football is easier to play because he can handle the ball easily even if he can't play that well. Football match is started quite uniquely in Sherubtse College when compared to basketball. During the beginning of the football tournament, the students starts with the "chibdrel" ceremony where as in basketball the game is started without any grand celebration. Another differences is the audience who comes to witness the matches. The football match seems to gain more attention of audience when compared to basketball and also there are massive participants in football games compared to basketball. The basketball court is much better compared to football ground. In basketball, its is compulsory to play in sports gear where as in football there are no such rules. The football ground seems to be occupied everyday comparing to basketball court. These are the few difference that we can see in football and basketball games played in Sherubtse College.
