My daughter Euthraa

The hamlet of zhongar lies opposite to a majestic mountain landscape covered by a lush of white creams on its top and beautiful meadows with green grass and blooming flowers at its feet.  Dusk   begins with gloomy smoke popping out from Aum Tshomo’s chimney. Having fed her cattle’s and cleaning their sheds Aum Tshomo ends her morning household chores and  calls for her only daughter named Choki for their deficient breakfast. Choki is a tall and slender figured girl with dark hair, her soft cherry lips and the pair of dimple adds as a bonus to her charming beauty. She was 18 years old attending middle school, which is day journey away from their home.

“Study hard and take care”, Aum Tshomo said to her only heart queen choki when she left for her boarding high school, which has been now a more than day long journey from zhongar. Soaking into a sorrowful tears, choki almost loss her words for her mom. Despite of choki being sad Aum Tshomo’s voice was also at its edge when she sent her only daughter far from her for the first time. Choki was humble and a good behavior girl in their village. She was always down to the Earth. She was respectful to her elder and affectionate and kind to youngsters. Having reached to a new environment for the first time, choki felt like to flee back to her home sweet home. But she being a humbled girl, the way she talks, dress and behaves draws friends easily closes to her.

The first academic session of the year started and class mates introduced themselves to each other in class. Sitting in the second line of desks, choki stand and introduce herself to her friend. After the introductory session, the bell has ringed and all students went outside for the lunch break and choki headed towards the school library in search of a book recommended by her friend Pema, whom she has accompanied her from her first day of orientation programme of the school.  “Hello Choki welcome to our school”. A strange voice echoed from a meter away from the book shelf which she was going through. Choki with stand at is position she raised her head of 165 degree and found out that it was sonam, a tall and a thin figured boy with a fair and white complexion in nature. Whom choki consider as the only smart boy in her class.  Choki out of nervousness, knowingly or unknowingly

She replied, “Thank you Sonam for your beautiful greetings”. Before nodding stiffly and walking away.

One day it was during a group discussion where by fate or cheat both of them were in same group. Teacher had asked them to help each other and work together in group. In the meantime Sonam started breaking the ice of their conversation which has been ended a month long back when they were first meet in the library. Gathering all his courage’s and determination he started sharing his feelings towards her. As the time rolled down sharing each other’s feeling and emotion both of them fallen in love. And for the first time in the school, sonam and choki became the first ever love bird who has kept the legends of both lovers being the school academic toppers. The entire teacher considered sonam as a best student of the School as he worked very hard and was also considered an exemplary to other students. And unlike sonam choki was also a thumps up student of all the teachers and a friendly nature buddies to all the student in school.despite of all those things they loved each other well, and day by day their relationship grew more beautiful and stronger.

After two months passed both of them helped each other in studies, choki topped the class where sonam also became 2^nd position holder with difference of just a point in their marks.  During their study times and weekends, they even  sees each other After night studies, they wished each other good night and goes to respective hostel. It has been like routine for them as being both border students.

 Sometimes Sonam woke up early in the morning. He goes near girls hostel, and when he finds her studying he also joins her and they shares a cup of tea. He thanks her for the every joy that she brings him. She smiles and that gave him great sense of happiness. They both go for breakfast in the mess and she brings butter which her loving mother had sent her from home. They both enjoyed each other company always.

As time passed by the annual examination started, teachers and students are busy with preparation of examination and it got over within a week. All the students started packing to go home. Sonam and Choki felt sad because both of them had to separate from each other. After two days Choki reached at her village. At home unlike before now choki helped her only mom with her busy morning chores and day works too. One morning she overheard her mom talking about her marriage to son of Aap Dorji who was well known in their village as “GenDha Wangchuk” in referring to his wealthiest to Aap Dorji himself, but Choki being already lost in the world of true love thought that as far her Sonam is there, she is not going to marry any other boys, and as always she went for her works.

 After passing of few days, like a miracle Sonam accompanied by his father came to see her at her village. Sonam and his father chatting with chokis mom for around half an hour, Sonam came out of her house and informed choki that her mother is not willing for their marriage.  Her parent does not want to give Choki to Sonam. Within a moment sonam lost choki from his sight, sonam with his senseless heart informed his father and her mom and they started searching for her. Searching for around half an hour he found her under a tree a mile away from their house, trying to commit suicide.

Looking to all this seen chokis mother regretted about her decision and saved her daughter life. Where she promised a car as a gift for her daughter and her son-in-law in their marriage. Studying for around three years both Sonam and Choki did their degree smoothly and got married. and even blessed with a child in choki’s womb, whom father sonam pre-named as my loviest daughter Euthra, whom he always wish  her to be as beautiful as her mother and as smart as any other child in the entire world. So later  both really felt content and lived happily ever after.
